High School Hockey
The Mason City Mohawks High School Hockey program provides student-athletes the opportunity to compete in a fast-paced, competitive environment while representing their school and community. As a member of the Midwest Amateur Hockey Association (MWAHA) and USA Hockey, our program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership through structured practices and league competition. Our goal is to prepare players for success both on and off the ice while creating a positive and memorable high school hockey experience.

The 2026–2027 season runs from Monday, September 28, 2026, through February 28th, 2027.
The State Tournament is February 25-28, 2027

Practices
JV and Varsity teams will practice Monday through Thursday. Specific practice times will be released closer to the start of the season.
Games
The Mason City Mohawks High School Hockey program competes under the Midwest Amateur Hockey Association (MWAHA) and USA Hockey. Teams participate in a competitive regular season featuring approximately 18 league games, with a balanced mix of home and away contests against programs from across Iowa. Following the regular season, teams have the opportunity to compete in postseason play, including the Iowa High School Hockey Alliance State Tournament.
Fall 2026-2027
The 2026–2027 Mason City Mohawks High School Hockey season includes regular practices and league games against opponents from across Iowa and the surrounding region. Our program is committed to developing skilled, disciplined student-athletes while promoting the values of teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, respect, and integrity. As a USA Hockey and MWAHA-affiliated program, we strive to provide a competitive, positive environment where players can pursue excellence, represent the Mohawks with pride, and continue their growth both on and off the ice.
